sMeasure began life 4-years ago as a research project at the University of Oxford's Environmental Change Institute. The purpose was to gather much needed building energy data for investigating achieving significant greenhouse gas emission reductions from the built environment in line with the UK government's commitment to mitigate climate change.
As the only building energy monitoring and management software of its type specifically designed for small and medium businesses, the software provides your business with easy-to-use sophisticated weather analysis so you can assess the energy performance of your buildings against weather conditions. In addition, the energy performance of your building is assessed against national standard energy efficiency benchmarks meaning you can benefit from an accurately estimated energy over- and under- spend.
The building energy use data captured through sMeasure will continue to contribute to cutting-edge research into creating a low carbon built environment, meaning you can feel good knowing you are helping future generations.

About Pilio

As a newly formed company, Pilio has been spun-out from ISIS Innovation, the University of Oxford's technology transfer company. Catherine Bottrill and Dr. Russell Layberry, both founders of Pilio, created sMeasure and iMeasure software, which they invented as researchers of the Environmental Change Institute.
